These people have the right idea about what pop music is all about. They are an American band called The Hypertonics, and they’ve decided to give away all their songs for free. If only good bands started doing this. hahaa. I’m nasty. I’m also a liar. I’m listening to a song called “Not Your Friend” and it’s quite good, really. Not worthy of being a compulsory download, but then very little is. Anyway they have more than proved themselves worthy by saying this:
“People aren’t consumers, they’re people. Cities aren’t markets, they’re cities. You don’t “target certain age groups”. If somebody was targeting me, I would feel the need to defend myself. I wouldn’t buy their product, I’d shoot them in self-defense”
Right on.

Ugh! “Not Your Friend” is the worst one of the bunch. Give “Are You The Car Or Are You The Road” a dance at http://www.thehypertonics.com/mp3/the_hypertonics_are_you_the_car_or_are_you_the_road_demo.mp3 for a better listen. Thanks for the kind words otherwise. Cheers.
